Sataa, paistaa, sataa... Suomen kesä parhaimmillaan! Kynsille päätyi aurinkoon sopivaa holoa China Glazen I Sea Ponies-lakalla ja sadepäivään sopivaa kahvittelua Konadin mustalla leimauslakalla MoYou Londonin Tourist 01- ja 05-laatoilla.

Rain, shine, rain... Perfect Finnish summer weather that is! I have something that suits to both weathers on my nails. Holo for the sunshine, China Glaze I Sea Ponies and coffee themed stamping with Konad black stamping polish and MoYou London Tourist 01- and 05-plates.

 

Tällaisten pienten kuvioiden leimauksessa ongelma on usein se, että jos kuvio on keskellä laattaa, lakkaa pois vedetäessä sitä menee toiseen kuvioon ja toinen kuvio tarttuu myös leimasimeen ja siitä kynnelle ja ongelma on valmis...

There's often a problem with these small patterns, especially if the pattern is in the middle of the plate. When you swipe the polish off the pattern, it gets into other pattern and then onto stamper and on the nail and you have a problem...

Mutta siihenkin on löydetty apuväline! Miten tätä ei ole keksitty aikaisemmin?! Sain Born Pretty Storelta kokeiluun tämän Stamping Guiden, joka on siis metallilevy, jossa on reikiä. Se laitetaan leimauslaatan päälle niin, että haluttu kuvio näkyy reiästä. Sitten vaan normaalin tapaan leimaamaan, ainoastaan haluttu kuvio tarttuu leimasimeen! Kuinka kätevää! Born Pretty Storella on myös muunlaisia Stamping Guideja, mutta itse päädyin tähän, jolla saa pienet kuviot helposti ylös.

But there's a solution for that problem! How this was not invented before?! I got this Stamping Guide from Born Pretty Store for a review. Stamping Guide is a metal plate with holes. You put it on top of your stamping plate so the wanted pattern shows from the hole. And then you stamp regularly and only the desired pattern picks up! How convenient! Born Pretty Store also has different patterned Stamping Guides, but I wanted this simple one for picking up small patterns.

Hyvää Star Wars-päivää! Sen kunniaksi tottakai teemaan sopivat kynnet. Käytössä taas Essencen 1000 Light Years Away etusormessa ja pikkusormessa. Keskisormessa ja nimettömässä on China Glazen hopeinen holo OMG. Leimaus on tehty Creative Shopin 09-laatalla ja Konadin mustalla leimauslakalla.

Happy Star Wars day! I made theme nails just to celebrate the occasion. I used Essence 1000 Light Years Away again in index finger and pinkie. Middle and ring fingers have beautiful silver holo China Glaze OMG and stamping is done with Creative Shop 09-plate and Konad black stamping polish.

Purples

Sain Born Pretty Storelta yllärilahjana leimauslaatan, jossa on tällaisia hienoja mandalahenkisiä kuvioita. Mopo lähti keulimaan myös Kikon alennusmyynnissä, ja lakkoja tuli tilattua muutama (...kymmenen). Ekana kynsille pääsi Kiko 255, joka on upea violetti hololakka. Leimauslakkana käytin China Glazen Harmonya.

I got this mandala-inspired stamping plate from Born Pretty Store as a surprise gift. I also lost my mind at Kiko sales and ordered a few (..dozen) new polishes. First one is Kiko 255 which is a gorgeous purple holo polish. Stamping is done with China Glaze Harmony.

Roses Are Holo

Alkaa selvästi olla jo kevättä ajatuksissa kun kynnet alkavat vaalentua ja holoakin ilmestyy mukaan kuvioihin... :) Pohjalla on Nfu Oh 63, kylmän vaaleanpunainen hololakka. Kahdella kerroksella tulee leimaukseen sopivan peittävä pohja, jos käyttäisin lakkaa pelkästään, laittaisin kolme kerrosta. Leimaus on tehty Creative Shop 17-laatalla ja Born Pretty Storen fuksialla leimauslakalla (kaikki ostettu itse). Tykkään ihan hirveästi näistä Creative Shopin laatoista, leimaavat ihan huippuhyvin! Ja nämä Born Pretty Storen pienet leimauslakat ovat myös loistavia, pigmenttiä riittää vaikka muille jakaa. 

There's definitely spring in my mind because my nails are lighter and there's even holo polishes in the picture... :) Base is Nfu Oh 63 which is a light cool pink holo polish. Two coats is enough for being stamped over but if I wanted to wear it on its own, I'd use three coats. Stamping is done with Creative Shop 17-plate and Born Pretty Store fuchsia stamping polish (all bought myself). I really love Creative Shop plates, they stamp extremely well! And Born Pretty Store small stamping polishes are excellent as well, they are super pigmented.

Glowing Blue

Jee, kevätaurinko näyttäytyi ja holokausi on siis alkamassa! Sain Born Pretty Storelta testiin tämän ihanan tummansinisen hololakan (numero 21). Olen tosi tyytyväinen lakkaan, peittää jo yhdellä kerroksella, mutta varmuuden vuoksi laitoin kaksi. Holo on aivan upea auringossa, yritä siinä keskittyä johonkin tärkeään kun kynnet kimaltavat kaikissa sateenkaaren väreissä... Ja se on kaunis myös sisätiloissa.

Yay, the sun is shining and holo season is beginning! I got this gorgeous dark blue holo polish (number 21) from Born Pretty Store for a review. I'm very pleased with the quality of the polish. It's almost one-coater but I put on two just to be sure. Holo effect is just gorgeous, how on earth you are supposed to concentrate in anything important when your nails are glowing in all the colours of the rainbow?! It also looks good indoors.

Revvvolution

Voi kuinka vaikea holoa ja glitteriä on saada kuvattua! Kynsillä siis marraskuun harmauteen sopiva Color Clubin Revvvolution, joka on musta hololakka ja kärjissä H&M:n glitteriä Jo Is In The House. Revvvolution peittää hyvin jo kahdella kerroksella ja Hennesin glitter tuo kaunista moniväristä kimallusta, loistava valinta esim. alkavalle pikkujoulukaudelle!

Oh how difficult it is to photograph holo and glitter polishes! My nails match perfectly to grey November weather, base is Color Club Revvvolution and tips are done with H&M glitter Jo Is In The House. Revvvolution covers well with two coats and H&M glitter brings beautiful multicoloured sparkle, it's  a great choice for upcoming holiday season!

Colors By Llarowe Intrigue

Colors By Llarowen holot ovat maailman upeimpia! Vai mitä tuumaatte tästä munakoison violetista Intriguesta, joka kimaltaa valossa kaikissa sateenkaaren väreissä? Aivan uskomattoman upea lakka!

These Colors By Llarowe holos are most gorgeous I've ever seen! Or what do you think about this eggplant purple Intrigue which shines in all of the colours in the rainbow? This is absolutely gorgeous!

Colors by Llarowe: Pirates of Penzance

Katselin tätä lakkaa Instagram-feedissäni (löytyy muuten nimellä @nailings jos kiinnostaa vilkaista) monellakin seuraamallani käyttäjällä ja joka kerta sen esiin tullessa sydän sykähti siihen malliin, että oli pakko pistää tilaus Hypnotic Polishille menemään. Colors by Llarowen Pirates of Penzance on upea. Aivan sanattomaksi vetävän upea. Siis aivan upea! Varjossa lakka on kaunis joulunpunainen, mutta auringossa ja kirkkaassa valossa tämän kauneus pääsee oikeuksiinsa. Tässä on maailman kaunein holo! Sain koko päivän kehuja kynsistäni ja koiraa ulkoiluttaessakin katselin enemmän kynsiäni kuin maisemia... :D En ole mihinkään lakkaan ole koskaan ollut näin rakastunut kuin tähän, ja se on paljon sanottu näin 21 vuoden lakkailukokemuksella. :D

Itse tilaaminen oli helppoa, nopeaa ja tullivapaata kun EU:n alueelta tuli ja lakat saapuivat hyvin pakattuina kohtuullisessa ajassa. Jäi siis hyvä fiilis Hypnotic Polishista ja tulen varmasti tilaamaan sieltä uudestaankin. Vaikka näitä upeita Colors by Llarowen lakkoja...

I watched this polish appear on my Instagram feed (I can be found under handle @nailings if you're interested) from multiple accounts I'm following. Every time I saw it my heart skipped a few beats and I realised I need to make an order to Hypnotic Polish. This Colors by Llarowe Pirates of Penzance is gorgeous. Out of words-gorgeous. Just gorgeous! In the shade the polish is nice deep red but in the sunlight it really shows it's gorgeousness. This is the prettiest holographic polish in the whole world! I got compliments on my nails the whole day and when walking the dog I watched my nails more than the scenery... :D I have never been more in love with a polish before and that's alot to say considering my 21 years experience with nail polish. :D

Ordering process was easy and quick and the polishes arrived well packed in a reasonable time. I had a good experience with Hypnotic Polish and I'll surely order from there again in the future. Possibly more of these gorgeous Colors by Llarowe polishes... 

 

Nfu Oh 61

Olen näköjään ihan holojen lumoissa tällä viikolla. :D Sain ihanalta työkaverilta työtehtävää vaihtaessani läksiäislahjaksi Nfu Oh 61-kynsilakan, joka on aivan upea hopeinen holo! Kiitos! <3 Kuvat eivät todellakaan tee oikeutta tämän upeudelle! Kesä on parasta aikaa hololakoille, auringonvalo tuo nämä oikeuksiinsa. Yläkuvassa lakka auringonvalossa, alakuvassa sisätiloissa.

I'm hooked on holographic polishes this week. :D I got this Nfu Oh 61 from a lovely co-worker as a going away present and it's just gorgeous holographic silver! Thank you my friend! <3 Pictures do not do justice for this amazing polish! Summer is definitely the best time to use holo polishes, sun makes these shine. Top picture is in the sun and bottom one is taken indoors.

a-england Tristam

Miksi ihmeessä kokeilin tätä upeutta vasta nyt?! Tilasin a-englandin Tristamin The Nailista Shopista jo alkuvuodesta, mutta jotenkin sen kokeilu jäi kaiken muun jalkoihin... Mutta tämä lakka on UPEA! Tumma sininen todella kauniilla hololla. Pääsee näin kesällä auringossa oikeuksiinsa. Holoefekti ei ole överi, vaan hieman hillitymmästä päästä, muta todella kaunis!

I don't understand why I haven't tried this gorgeous polish on sooner! I ordered a-england Tristam from The Nailista Shop earlier this year but somehow I didn't try this on before now. This is GORGEOUS! It's dark blue with a really beautifu holo effect. Sun really brings out the gorgeousness. Holo effect is not over the top but more subtle, very beautiful one!

#ablecs15: Holographic

Holojen kuvaaminen on ihan mahdotonta! Miten ihmeessä kaikki upeat värit saa tallennettua kameralle? No, yritys hyvä kymmenen ja tässäpä on holographic-teemaiset kynnet Finnish(able)-kynsihaasteen toiseksi viimeiselle viikolle. Onpa kevät jo pitkällä! Hololakka on OPIn DS Elegance, aivan upea pinkki hololakka. Leimat on tehty Konadin mustalla, laatta on joku nimetön eBaysta. 

Capturing holographic polishes is impossible! How on earth you can capture all the amazing colours? Well, here's my attempt on Finnish(able) nail art challenge Holographic nails. Holographic polish is OPI DS Elegance which is an amazing pink holo polish. Stamping is done with Konad black and plate is some nameless from eBay.

a-england Saint George

Kynsilakkakokoelmani upein vihreä on ehdottomasti a-englandin Saint George. Kyseessä on tumma vihreä lakka upealla hololla. Uskomattoman kaunis! Peittää yhdellä kerroksella, kuivuu nopeasti ja on muutenkin vaan täydellinen. Tilasin tämän The Nailista Shopista monen muun a-englandin lakan kanssa mutta nyt vasta pääsin kokeilemaan tätä upeista upeinta lakkaa. Katsokaa nyt tuota holoa! Luonnossa on vielä vihreämpi, kuvassa sinisyys tulee hieman liikaa esiin kun halusin holon näkyviin.

The best green in my nail polish collection is a-england Saint George. It's a dark green polish with amazing holo effect. This is absolutely gorgeous! Covers with one coat, is fast drying and it is just perfect. I ordered this from The Nailista Shop with other a-england polishes but haven't been able to try it on before now. Look at the holo, this is so gorgeous! IRL this is more green, photo is bluer because I wanted to show the holo better.

OPI DS Desire

Kynsillä tänään OPIn syksyinen ruskea hololakka, DS Desire. Vanhempi lakka tämäkin,  olisiko vuodelta 2013? Upea holoefekti ja eipä ole pahan näköinen normaalitilassakaan. Ylempi kuva tavallisessa valossa, alemmassa kuvassa holoefekti tulee hienosti esiin kirkkaassa keinovalossa.

My nails of the day are OPI DS Desire which is a autumn-y brown holo polish. This too is an older polish, from 2013 I think? The holo effect is fantastic and it looks good in normal state too. Top picture is in normal light, the bottom one shows the great holo effect in bright artificial light.

Curls and shimmer

On tämä vanha OPIn DS Shimmer vain upea edelleen! Hopeinen moniulotteinen holo, joka toimii hyvin myös leimausten alla. Oli todella haastavaaa saada värin upeutta kuvaan, tämä tulee oikeuksiinsa auringonvalossa ja välkettä ei vaan kuviin saa taltioitua... Musta on Konadia ja kuvio samoin.

This old OPI DS Shimmer is still just gorgeous! Silver, multicoloured holo, which works great also with stamping. It was awfully difficult to catch the gorgeousness of this polish in photos. It is at it's best in the sunlight and the glimmer is something you can't photograph... Black polish is Konad and the plate is too.
